Any idea how many classes will be HyFlex?

What are the 0,1,2,3, column that Mike did not address?

Can students on Zoom hear students in the classroom? I am worried about the disconnect that may happen as I host in class discussion. I've been in hybrid meetings where I don't know what is going on in person because I cannot hear the in person discussion.

Coleen & Katie: Every classroom has a webcam mounted on the ceiling and speakerphone mounted in the front of the classroom. Zoom participants will be able to see and hear, and the speakerphone will allow you to hear the zoom students clearly.

Gloria: Mike is focusing on the Hyflex modality.

It is difficult for the instructor to pay attention to the class contact, the in-person students, the chat box, the remote students, etc. Is there help or teacher assistants that can assist with this?

Coleen: You will need to contact your department to request a TA.

Do you encourage recording of lectures?

Is it possible to record on, then record off, and then back on?

Also, would you need permission from the students to record?

How do recordings get uploaded to Canvas? Is it an automatic process, or do we have to do something after the class?

Cesear: if you use the cloud recording setting you can save the recordings to your canvas and zoom account

Does it record my view of the screen as the host? So, If I select presenter only and not the gallery, will it only record what I see on my screen?

can you run a lecture from a laptop rather than the desktop computer in these classrooms?

@Judi - Students can screen capture using their local computer settings depending on whether they are using a Mac or PC.

Thanks for sharing the classrooms with these tools. How do we support a hyflex/blended classroom if we are not assigned to a hyflex/enhanced classroom?

Specifically what tools will we have?

Margaret said to set up the PPT one monitor. How do you select which monitor to do this on? Fro the second monitor, she said that she selected her settings. Where are these what did she select?

the screen seems a bit small for working things like long calculations. wide whiteboards used to work for this. how do you recommend we do that now?

Do we have to plug anything to get that camera on or is the system automatic as soon as we get into Zoom?

Can you zoom into a specific area of the room with the camera? I set up some things and will want the remote students to have a closer look.

Cesar: The in-room camera is hardwired and should work right away when using the classroom computer.

Do you have any suggestions on how to engage students on Zoom? I tried breakout rooms but students complained they were boring and I could only visit one room at a time.
